The Jeffs write and perform witty, story-driven folk-rock songs for a world that takes itself far too seriously. The group bridges the gap between Bob Dylan and Monty Python with songs that are refreshingly offbeat and irreverent while also poignant and socially relevant. Think Randy Newman (minus Pixar), The Onion stuffed into Simon and Garfunkel, and Barenaked Ladies set against a coffeehouse stage.
The Jeffs regularly perform at area clubs and festivals, including Comfest, Doo-Dah Parade and CrestFest. They were awarded “Best Songwriter CD” for their 2014 release, “Texas” at the Ohio Music Awards. They were a featured performer at 2013 TEDx Columbus, and their song “5-Below on High Street” was selected as a winning entry in the Columbus Bicentennial Song Competition.
